The book I am reading is titled Precious based on the novel Push. When I first started to read into this book I was instantly comfortable with print where it didn’t hurt my eyes. Also the way the book is stuctured and laid out is not so bad at all. With my lack luster ways of reading and just plainly hating to read period this book does a good job of keeping the reader at full attention. Which I would say in my case a hard thing to do. One thing this book has in it is a whole lot of cursing. I think like every other line or so has a curse word. Plus this reading is so similar to my everyday hearing people around me talk. With the ghetto slang it uses really puts me in the mind set of just a regular conversation with black people. In a way it’s a bad look on the black race as a whole but most times the truth hurts and when it comes to the light it really sucks. I’ve also seen the movie too I know the Mary character actress name is Monique. She started as a comdiean then a few movies. Now she a star because the movie was such a hit. I couldn’t finish the movie the first time I saw it. I began to get chills just seeing the realness the actors protrade on how some black act. I hope the book is just as interesting as it’s reviews of it showed.
